Happy Friday!
There are no Holiday Blues here 'cause we have a Snow Day! It's just the best to see your school's name on the TV screen and the word "closed" after it! My DH works in radio so he's swamped at work today. He still gives me a personal call to congratulate me on my day off! He used to have time to call me BEFORE it was on radio or TV, but computers have made it possible for television to be first. Enough of that! Don't mean to rub it in!
I had this card started early this morning when I saw Jeanne's challenge for LSC199 to use 75% blues in your card. I hope Aqua counts as blue! I {{love}} aqua for winter cards! I may have bent the other rule a little bit, I'm not sure. I used one type of embellishments, the brads. Paper embellishments are okay so I used a paper corner punch, stickles, and I snuck some Crystal Effects onto my little guy's saucer!
This is definitely what I would have been doing as a kid if we had a Snow Day!
Copic markers were used to color my favorite (at least for now!) Gruffie. I used BG10., BG72 and BG09 for his saucer and hat. I used E51, E31, E33, and E57 on my bear with E93 and RV42 for his cheeks. The sky is sponged with Baja Breeze and the SU snowflakes are also stamped with BB. The darker layers are Not Quite Navy and the card base is BB. The wonderful snowy dp is from Bo Bunny.
I hope you like what you see and have time to leave a comment. I know that I have some awards to acknowledge, post and pass on. I'll try to fit that into my extended weekend. All are very much appreciated!! Really!
Be safe! Cheryl

Aloha! I found your blog through SCS when I was going through your Magnolia creations. I LOVE your cards and coloring! I am a copic lover as well. And 99% of my art is colored with copics. I love this cards, reminds me of our days in New York. We were stationed in Fort Drum 03-07. Glad to have found you! Marie.
