Good morning! Wow! I'm loving all the nice comments for my blog candy! Thank you so much! There is still time to enter-the drawing will be Thursday, Jan. 15 at 8:00 pm Eastern Time.
I made this card the other day because it was Eileen's birthday! She is a dear friend and she is the aide that works with me in my classroom. We've been together longer than most marriages! 15 years! We also happen to be the same age, well almost. She is 7 months older!
I LOVE the Gruffies so sort of let him stand (well, lay) on his own! I used a silver Spica pen for the candy wrappers. The image is colored with copics. I knew the card should have some ribbon in chocolate brown, but I was working under pressure (as usual) so didn't have the time to figure it out!
The inside has a stamped sentiment saying< "It's your day!" and I wrote underneath "Calories don't count!" Besides her gift I always make her a pan of Tiramisu so this was very appropriate!
Have a great day! Remember to enter on the previous post if you haven't done so yet!
Hugs, Cheryl

Not so Blue!
Happy Friday!
There are no Holiday Blues here 'cause we have a Snow Day! It's just the best to see your school's name on the TV screen and the word "closed" after it! My DH works in radio so he's swamped at work today. He still gives me a personal call to congratulate me on my day off! He used to have time to call me BEFORE it was on radio or TV, but computers have made it possible for television to be first. Enough of that! Don't mean to rub it in!
I had this card started early this morning when I saw Jeanne's challenge for LSC199 to use 75% blues in your card. I hope Aqua counts as blue! I {{love}} aqua for winter cards! I may have bent the other rule a little bit, I'm not sure. I used one type of embellishments, the brads. Paper embellishments are okay so I used a paper corner punch, stickles, and I snuck some Crystal Effects onto my little guy's saucer!
This is definitely what I would have been doing as a kid if we had a Snow Day!
Copic markers were used to color my favorite (at least for now!) Gruffie. I used BG10., BG72 and BG09 for his saucer and hat. I used E51, E31, E33, and E57 on my bear with E93 and RV42 for his cheeks. The sky is sponged with Baja Breeze and the SU snowflakes are also stamped with BB. The darker layers are Not Quite Navy and the card base is BB. The wonderful snowy dp is from Bo Bunny.
I hope you like what you see and have time to leave a comment. I know that I have some awards to acknowledge, post and pass on. I'll try to fit that into my extended weekend. All are very much appreciated!! Really!
Be safe! Cheryl
