Lovely, Luscious LACE!

KEEP READING FOR TODAY'S BLOG HOP INFO!! MY BLOG IS THE STARTING POINT!
Hello, dear friends!! I'm sorry to have been absent!! Dave and I returned on Friday from a 5 day vacation in Las Vegas! We planned it in January to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary.  We had a wonderful time away from work! We walked and walked and saw some shows. Oh yes, and ate! We loved it! I can't show any pictures because I left my camera at one of the shows and despite my many checks with the hotel no one turned it in! I was sick about the lost pictures I had takend, but then just had to get over it and instead I bought some disposable cameras.  The internet is so wonderful that I ordered a new camera (Thanks, Dave!) and it arrived at home the same day we did!  Here's a pic of our kitties Charlie and Violet! We sure missed them!
And, now back to another love, papercrafting!  Today is the Design Team for Magnolia-licious Monthly blog hop!  Our theme this time is LUSCIOUS LACE!  We want to see lace on your projects!!  As I mentioned, I'm the start, but you can find the whole order and all the deets here on the Magnolia-lcious Blog!
I'm not typically a Princess card kind of person, but one of the hotels near our hotel was the Excalibur, which is just like a castle!  It was wonderful! As was our hotel, New York, New York (and all the others we visitied!). Anyway, the castle inspired me to make this card!  I think it will make a great birthday card for our great-niece!
I've used #304 LITTLE PRINCESS and #500 EDWIN'S KNIGHT CASTLE FOR  for my card.  Diana has lovingly bundled minis from the Prince and Princess Collection so the prices  and values are OUTSTANDING!! I'm using Lillyrose next!!

Here is te close up of Tilda looking over at the neighboring castle just as Dave and I did in Vegas!!
And, now you are off the see the fabulous creation by DT sister MINDY BAXTER!  Hey, Mindy, don't you live near Las Vegas?!
Back to work today! I wish you a Marvelous Monday!!
See you very soon!!
P.S.  Please remember~you have until the end of the month for our baby challenge too!!  That post is HERE!
I'm also entering my card in the My Time Made Easy sketch challenge!  That's HERE!

Here's my ZIGGY BUNNY on a simple treat box!. Isn't he so sweet! And, only 3.25!! I'm one on those people who loves to see wild bunnies in the yard! They can pretty much eat anything they want and I don't get to upset with them! Hey, they gotta eat, right!?
I kept trying to get a good picture!  I stamped my image in Memento cocoa ink and then just a little shading with my copics and he was done!! I cut him out and added the felt grass as well as my grubby flower.  Done!
Oh, yes, the box (the size of a 16 count crayon box) was printed right on the woodgrain paper from My Mind's Eye, cut out and assembled! And, it's FREE!! When Lauren started her own company, My Time Made Easy she created this Cutesy Cover and put it out there for FREE!  Check it out, as well as all ther other great packaging ideas! She is awesome!
I hope you'll visit the I Brake for Challenges for more DT inspiration and join us in creating ANYTHING BUT A CARD!
Thanks for coming by today, and as always, for your lovely comments!  don't you just love creating things from paper!?

Happy New Baby!

Hi!! I don't know that these would necessarily be baby card images, but I think they work!  I needed to get a card made for our current challenge on Magnolia-licious Highlites!  Of course, we would love to have you drop by and be inspired to enter your own card!!  We love to see what you do!!
I used images from the newest collection-Princes and Princesses.  They are all available here at Magnolia-licious for great prices and store credit too!  I've used #3030 TILDA IN BATHCAP and #548 BATHTUB.  I've masked Tilda onto the edge of her tub!!   To give credit where it is due~I was totally inspired by the tub and tilda in pink that  I saw on Kylie's Kreations  Blog.  To accommodate the images I made my card 5.5" square.  I used SU's (retired) Vintage Violet with Wisteria Wonder. I love the muted shades of purple. Perfect for a baby girl, methinks!
I used copics to color my images and here are the colors:
skin Eooo, E11 and R30
bubbles BG10 and BG02
tub- T3, 5, 7 and 9 with some T1 for blending the greys together
top E30 and a little E42 with blender
        'gold' Y21, YR31 and some YR24
Suit and cap- BV20, BV11, BV34 and V28 With some blender to remove color and keep lightness to the outfit.
I used an old scroll stamp by Inkadinkado and Wisteria Wonder ink to add interest to the edge of the feature panel and then sponged the edges with Wisteria Wonder as well.

I guess that's it for today!  Please do check out our challenge-you have the rest of April to upload and link your card to our Magnolia-licious blog for a chance to win!!
Thanks for coming by today! I appreciate it so much!!

Easter Blessings

Hello!! I'm so sorry for my long absence.  I always have plans to get something created, but am sooo tired after work. I have now completed my second night of a sleep study to see if there is a way to deal with the tiredness! fingers crossed!  Anyway, I've been working with some previous stamps from Magnolia-licicous because I {{love}} the Easter images!!  This is #3029 Chicken Tilda and #560 Wheelbarrow.  Both are in stock at Diana's fabulous store with a store credit for each purchase and great prices, too!! Just enter the stamp number or name in the search box and they will pop right up (including minis of the same image!!)

I used xpress it blending card for my main image and image panel.  I dry embossed some cryogen white with the paisly embossing folder and sponged it with a little bashful blue. I colored my images with copic markers and then used some new Cosmo Cricket paper as well as some Bo Bunny double dot for my layers.  the rose die is from MFT and they are cut from soft yellow felt.  The leaf embellishment is also an MFT die. I pulled out my sewing machine for a little stitching on my card. It's a look I love so much, but don't take the time to do.
I used the currect sketch from Midweek Magnolias and will be entering my card into their gallery.
If you're looking for a challenge, please check out the April challenge from the Magnolia-licious Design Team. It's posted HERE!
I'm off to get this card entered, but am then getting going on my sample card for this very challenge!!
If I've left any questions about my card unanswered, please don't hesitate to ask!!
Thanks for coming by!!
