Pool party!

Everybody into the pool! Our weather has been just great during May and so far June is no different! While I had some bright colors out for yesterday's card I also colored this image up in some of my favorite colors for summer-hot pink, orange and aqua. Love them! I just love this craft of ours where if I want Bella to have a sparkly pool noodle she can have one! I also used Crystal effects on Bronte's tube and the swimmies Bella is wearing.

Mo's image Pool Party was just perfect for the colors. Of course, I got it colored and had no idea what papers I was going to use! So even though I colored her on Monday, it took me a couple of hours to finish the rest of the card on Tuesday evening!

The image reminds me of High school when we had to wear those hated bathing caps in the school pool! But I think Bella is in for more fun than we had. I have no idea how she got all her hair into that thing, though!

I was able to use some much neglected supplies on the card.

I used some Core-dinations paper with the swirl CB embossing folder and then sanded like crazy to reveal the core of the paper. Then I uncovered my sand castle EK Success punch for the border at the bottom.

My image was colored with my NEVER neglected copic markers in the following colors:

E000, E11 and R30-skin

BG10, BG11, BG72 suit

R20, R21, RV14 and RV25 pinks

YR21, YR12, Y38, YR04 oranges

E31, E33, and E35 beach and W00, W2 and W3 around the image.

Back with Mo!

ello! I had no intention to take so long between posts! I'm sorry! I've been creating fast things and getting them out the door! I finished our Christmas cards yesterday! Whew! I figure it still counts if you mail them before New Year's Day!
I'd like to say I've started next year's Christmas cards, but nope! Look at this older Mo's digital Pencil image! Her sweater and jeans have hearts! Perfect for Valentine's Day and many other occasions through the year! Love it!

If you do too, you can find it here: Mo's Digital Pencil. I'm crazy right now about the colors in Cosmo's chemistry paper from last year AND they are also in the new MME for this year! These colors are such a change from Christmas that it is so fun to create with them!

So, I didn't save the colors for this-am coloring in the living room again because I am tearing wallpaper off the craft room wall now! If there's something you really need to know, just ask. I'll figure it out!

I Dunno...

This is an image from Mos' Digital Pencil entitle "I Dunno". I computer generated the sentiment (in a hurry) this morning. On the inside I will put "how I missed your birthday. Hope it was happy". I use belated birthday cards s lot!

Bella and Bronte are colored with my copics and this image didn't take long to do at all. It's printed quite small at about 3 inches tall so she fit well in the nestabilities and on this 5" square Gate fold card. I think I will add some sparkle to her skirt before mailing. It's tacked closed with one of those great little magnets. You can hide them under the dp and it works great!

This is a reminder that Mo's challenge team has posted their weekly challenge which is to make a
FANCY FOLD CARD. If you've been here before you know that I don't do really fancy stuff. I love the simple with the focus on coloring and paper. But they want you to know it only has to be a different fold from the traditional or you can get as fancy as you want!

Mo's Perple Challenge!

I had started this image and couldn't decide on the color for her clothes-The Perple Challenge at Mo's Challenge Blog (well, I think Bella and Bronte have something to do with it!) gave me the perfect color and SUs Cottage Wall is such a great paper collection.

Once the colors were chosen the card came together quickly, though I will never be one of those 15 minute card makers that I admire so much!
Of course, then I end up taking photos in a rush in the morning with no time to fuss with the lighting. The close up came out better and it's all about this adorable image!
