Sports Day, Magnolia-licious DT Blog Hop!!

Hello friends!!  We are having some gorgeous May weather where we live and getting some much needed yard work done! But, it's also time for the Magnolia-licious DT Monthly Blog Hop and I'm so glad you've come by!!  The hop starts at the blog of the grea and talented Janiel (and I am actually the END of the hop). And just before me is the super nice and very creative Mindy.  YOu don't want to miss a thing!  You can also find the entire list AND how to enter and win a prize on the Magnolia-licuous Highlites Blog.  Check it out!
I've used #3038 YOGA TILDA for my Sports Day card.  I think she has only seen ink once so it was very fun to pull out and use again!  I used E31 and E43 with blender for her pants.  BG10, BG53 and BG72 for her top.  The oranges are YR61, YR04 and YR18. She is mounted in 3D on an oval die from My Favorite Things.  The print paper is from Stampin' Up and the plaid is from Papertrey INk.  Honestly, I had to use what I could find 'cuz my studio is a DISASTER!!  I can't even describe it.
My card for this time is the regular A2 size, and with a little cushion will go into a basic envelope.
Thanks a lot for coming by today!! Be sure to check out the fabulous work of my teammates on their blogs!  I know I will!!
And, if you're finishing here, HERE is the link to the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog.

Summer Screen Door

Hello all!! We had a beautiful weekend here in Western NY! And, it was a fun one, too! Sunday was just for relaxing and taking a walk. Friday night was going out with friends to celebrate a birthday and Saturday was a terricic hike down into a gorge where there's a beautiful waterfall. Good times.

Tilda, here is having a good time too. I used TILDA WITH MAGNOLIA BRANCH from (where else?) MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS.  She is from the Summer Memories collection and now the minis are in stock too!!  I cut her out and have her sitting on the Magnolia bench that has been around for awhile, but is always handy for the sitting images.  My papers, both inside and out are from Diana's store, too!  They are richly covered and a nice heavy weight to work with.  These two came in my mmcc club kit from Diana.
Here is Tilda in a close photo. Her bench is actually stamped on Sahara Sand and then colored with w1, 3 and 5.  The screen door is from Buffalostamps. com. She has a brick and mortar store, but will also mail out some die cuts and screen.  Sharon (store owner) created this die a couple of years ago and it is perfect for summer cards!  Remember when your mom would say, "Don't slam the door!" in the summer time? With 6 children, I think my mom said it ALL the time!

I used Kittie's tutorial (she has a lot of great ones on her sidebar) for the flower wreath. I recently bought the Memory Box flower mound die for the very tiny flowers that are on the wreath and in the grass.
Thanks for coming by today! Wishing you a productive and happy Monday!

I Brake for Challenges-Florals

Hi! This month at I Brake for Challenges, we'd like to see your projects using FLORAL images!
I've used a stamp called Kerr Jar from I Brake for Stamps. You can find it HERE, if you like it too!
I colored my image in copics and then used stickles in the flower centers and Glossy Accents on the jar. the dp is from Echo Park. I love that they made a simple white dot on a number of different colors. My ribbon is from PTI-antique rose, I think.  the card is a bit oversized to accommodate the image, but I did have an envelop that it fit into.

We'd love to see what you come up with and you have the month to do it!  You don't have to use an I Brake for Stamps image, but we encourage it, if you can.
Please see the I Brake for Challenges Blog for some wonderful inspiration and all the other details!

I'm so glad you stopped by today!  Have a good day!! Cheryl

FINALLY, a card!!

You know I love my Magnolias!  What better way to get back in the swing than with the current monthly challenge over at Magnolia-licious!!
Currently, we'd love to see your creations with summer colors!!  I've used #110 EDWIN IN MIAMI (sorry, he's out of stock, but available to order)  from the most current collection in Diana's store, but you can use ANY Magnolia image!  Diana always offers great prices, a buyer rewards program AND great service!

I've used a Pool Party card base, then a layer of Apricot Appeal (why, oh why did SU discontinue this color?!!).  The dp is an older one from Paper Adventures called Island Lagoon Seashells.  I bought all I could find a couple of years ago.  It is my favorite paper! I hate to cover it up!  I thought the MFT vine die cut would look a bit like sea weed and I didn't want to go all out with flowers so I just went with button blossoms.  Another favorite is my Martha Stewart seashell border punch.  The plaid paper is from PTI.
Here's my close up.  I used a combo of YRs and Es (peachy colors) on his shirt.  His shorts are BG10, 11 and 72.  Skin is my usual E000, R30 and E11.
Thanks so much for sticking with me!!
And, thanks for visiting!
Hugs, Cheryl
