One Day.....

Threee simple Shape Cards!!
Hi all!! So glad there's just today to work and then 2 days off to get reorganized!! My studio is a mess! We've had summer like weather so I have to get my sweaters put away and some lighter clothes out.  There is some yard work to do and a fun garden show in Hamburg all weekend!!  Life is busy, isn't it?!

I used some older SU sets to create these shape cards for our Card Cluckers group.  We meet every two weeks or so and one of us creates cards for all to make.  It's so much fun to papercraft together!!
We needed cards for a variety of reasons, so I looked through my things for some small stamps and then cut this Spellbinders Grand labels.  I just love all the colors of Bo Bunny Double dot paper!!
Also hope to get some Magnolia crafting done this weekend!! I hope you have wonderful plans to do something you love to do this weekend!!

Easter Bunny Hop!!!

Also known as the monthy Magnolia-licious Design Team Blog Hop!! Welcome!! You can find all the details on the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog!! If you've joined me from Ruby's fabulous blog, That's All She Wrote you are doing just fine!!  Ruby is our challenge hostess for this month and she has asked us to make some kind of package to hold our Easter treats!! Great challenge, don't you think?
There are so many choices of treat containers to make!  I chose another version of the picnic basket.  Again, both ends open and are held closed with magnets.  I used three full-size stamps fromt he best source on the planet for Magnolia stamps-MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS!  They all seem to be in stock so here are the numbers; #399 BUNNY TILDA (a big favorite of mine!), #252 TILDA WITH HANGING RABBIT (so cute!), and #452 TWO EGGS.
My box from one side. Love her bunny!
And a close up of the other!  Gosh she's sooooo cute!!
You can see some flowers I made for each of the lids. Not quite the same pink as the roses, but it'll do, I guess.
AND, an Easter treat inside, of course!  Some chocolate Hershey eggs! A big Yummo!! I love lining these picnic boxes-completely wonderful and fun!
And, now, my friends I send you on the PJ's Designs, the amazing blog of the equally amazing Patti Jo!
I thank you so much for coming by today!! Thanks also for the sweet comments on my Jester card.
Have a great Monday!

TILDA HOLDS COURT

Hello, dear friends and thanks for coming by my cottage today!!  I have a Tilda card, my favorites!!  When I saw the new collection of Prince and Princesses at Magnolia-licious, I knew I HAD to have this one (and a few more!!)  This is #3064 Jester Tilda and she is available at the best source for Magnolias!
A close up of my roses, made with the MFT dies.  The fern is from All that Scraps. I used the banner to imitate the banners in a King's Court-I think they usually have family crests on them.
 Papers from Stampin' Up!
There are stamps in this collection I'm not wild about.  I see too many kids at school these days who seem to think they really are princes and princesses! One kid a couple of years ago wore to crown to school everyday of her year in Pre-K! too much!!
And, Tilda in a close up!!  I DO have the colors written, but must get to work.  Will post them this evening! Promise!
I made another card in these colors awhile ago and it was sort of my inspiration for this one.
See you later!!
Have a great day!
Cheryl

Here are the copic colors I used;
Greens G40, 82, YG17, YG45
Yellow Y08, Y17
browns E42, 71, 57, 77

Puddle Duck gift card

Hello!! I'm so glad Monday is over for the week!! On to Tuesday!  But, first, a bridal shower card.  I made this for a good friend whose son is getting married in May.  The shower was on Saturday and had an Asian theme.  I think Basic Grey's Kioshi fits the bill!
The image is Puddle Duck from Whipper Snapper Designs. You can find it HERE, if you like it!
I followed directions at Splitcoast (Resources section) for Pop up gift card holder. Very easy and fun to make!!
I didn't have a gift card envelope so I made my own from the Cat's Pajamas die. I put it together and cut the flap off, just like in the directions.

Well, gotta go!! Take care, thanks for visiting and have a terrific Tuesday!

MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS DT MONTHLY CHALLENGE!!

Hello friends and welcome to March!!  Hard to believe, isn't it?  We all now spring is coming soon so we are celebrating that flowers will be "popping up" very soon!! Our dear Sharon has challenged us to have something that moves on our cards!  You can check out our whole collection of DT work at the Mag Highlites Blog today!  And you can find out how you can enter for a chance to win stamps!!
I used directions on Splitcoast stampers (in the resources section) to make a 'surprise pop up card'.  You pull up on the string attached to a tag on the tops and the image panel comes up revealing a hidden area!  I love, love this kind of card!  I have made them several times~they are not hard and you get a really nice card!  This time I made my card square (5" x 5").  I started by cutting my card base that size and then made decisions on how large I wanted my image and secret compartment to be.  I used my Fiskars little cutter to make my cuts in the panel.
Here's where you can see the tag that pulls up.  You can also put a sentiment or image on this piece.  I didn't because I don't know what I want there!
I love how there are flowers next to Tilda and her bunny and when the card is 'closed' the flowers combine into one arrangement. This was a little tricky, but I managed!  the fence is a Papertrey Ink die. then I used some Martha Stewart punches for the flowers and leaves on the fence.  I also used an MS grass punch. My paper is from Echo park (dotted) and (once again) from My Mind's Eye-howdy doody. I used pool party and baja breeze cardstock.  tilda is colored with my copics.  My blues are the usual BG10, 72 and blender.  My reds are R20, 22 and 24 for a coral color.
Well, I hope you like what I had to show you today! I loved making it!!
Have an excellent day and month!!
Hugs, Cheryl
