Tilda in Spring Rain

Hello stampin' friends! I hope you are having a good day and weekend! This is the end of our spring break and we've gone from SUN to rainy and dreary today! Very fitting for going back to work! So sorry for those getting the terrible rain and storms! As I mentioned the other day, I have a lot to finish for our Third Stamp Fest on May 1st. So I made this card a quick one for the Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoast today-Gloria. I was also inspired by a card that Sharon made at our LSS! She colors beautifully as does one of her "helpers" Debbie whom I got to meet!
Anyway, what I started to say was-I really do like these simple cards that are all about the colors and coloring with few embellishments! I hope you like it too!
My stamp came from Diana at Magnolia-licious.
She really has the best prices and a huge stock of images! Here's a close up and my colors:
Skin E000, E11 and R20
Shadow W2 and W00
Hair Y21, E33, E25 and E29 (same Es on umbrella handle)
Rain/puddle B21
Berry colors are R30,R32, R35
Greens YG11, YG13, YG17
zipper y17
Thanks for coming by today! See you soon, I hope!

Flowers in bloom!

Hi! We have had some really gorgeous weather this week. A little chilly still but so much sunshine! Our daffodils and hyacynths are all in bloom and many others are getting started!

I've been working on my swap and showbox projects for our 3rd Spring Fest in Buffalo on May 1! Our organizer and guru is Tracy (Lodichick) and she thinks of everything! She also met my challenge yesterday to use a Memory box tree stamp we both bought! Here's TRACY"S CARD! See one post down for mine! Love it, Tracy! So, I found this PTI image that I had colored awhile back and used a card base that I had started for something else to put this card together. Pretty simple but I kind of like the springy-ness of it.
I'm sorry, but since I colored this awhile back I have no idea of the colors of copics that I used!

Wishing you a great Friday and weekend. Will definitely be back with a Mag and a Mo next week between swap projects!

Dotty tree birds!

Hi! I love having time off from work! I got to make a card using the Splitcoast sketch today!
AND, I used a new image I just bought yesterday at Buffalo Stamps! I went shopping and to lunch with the greatest girls around! Lisa (lakind on SCS and Kind Creations) and Tracy (lodichick on SCS and Inky Doodles) We had the best day!
I stamped my tree in Soft Suede ink. I wasn't sure if I could color with my copics or not, but it worked perfectly! Pretty fast coloring, too!
Okay, Tracy, you bought ths Memory Box stamp too! Let's see what you do with it!
Now I must get out to my flower beds and stop the weeds from taking over just when my flowers are getting started!
Wishing you a sunshiny day!

Hi! Thanks for visiting and thanks for all the visits and comments yesterday as we had our Magnolia-licious Blog Hop~
I said I could imagine the Two Tulips card that I did in turquoise last week in other colors. Well, here it is in peach!
I used Apricot Appeal card stock and ink for the card base. I colored the tulips in the same greens; G20, G40, G24 and the peaches are YR21, YR12 and YR15.
Here's the link to the other card if you want to read a few more details:
Next up Red? Yellow? who knows!
I'm off to have some fun with the girls today-shopping at Buffalo Stamps and Stuff! Yeah!
This card is to give Lisa-she had a birthday yesterday and turned a nice round number!
Have a great day! Cheryl

Girly, you rock!

Hey, friends! Welcome to the Monthly Magnolia-licious Blog Hop! So glad you've come! I'm the start of the hop so let's get going! Our queen, Diana, asked us to use this Right Through My Heart stamp for our project! She is currently 30% of in the store! Of course she can be used for Valentine's Day, but I decided to use her as a "You go, girl" /"Power of women" type of card. Please keep reading for prize details near the end of the post. My eggplant card base is 5.5" square. Everything else was driven by the DCWV paper "Once upon a Time" I love the sparkle and the greens and purples in it! I had other patterns to use, but I just didn't want to cover this one up! Because of that, the rest of my card is pretty simple! The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. I used more Eggplant and Hunter green swirls.
If you make a card with this image and send it to Diana at magnolia.us@shaw.ca you will have the chance for one of TWO randomly chosen prize winners (prize is a stamp!) OR you can win a special secret prize that Diana hasn't disclosed to any of us! It's sure to be GOOD! Details are on the Magnolia-licious Highlites Blog.
Now you can head on over to Angie's Blog to see what she has cleverly created with this image!

If you're still reading I expect your hoping for colors and here they are1
skin E000, E11 and R20
hair Y21, E97, E25, E33 and E29 (same for sandals except for Y21)
Quiver YG93 and YG97
Her dress BV31, BV13 and V17
around image W00 and W2
Thanks SO MUCH for coming by today! I hope you have the chance to hop around!

Chibi Cupcakes and CCC26

Good morning! Mary revealed another Copic creatios Challenge yesterday! It's to color black hair with your copics. Not an easy thing for me, but sometimes you gotta tackle something like that! Here's the result: This is Chibi Cupcakes from The Greeting Farm. This is a digi image but they carry rubber too and The Greeting Farm is offering a nice price to one lucky winner! You can read more details on the Copic Creations Challenge Blog
My card uses My Mind's Eye paper from the Quite Contrary collection and Paper trey Ink ribbon. Chibi's hair is colored with all the cool grays that I own! Co, C1, C3, C5 C7 and C9! I like to start light with my coloring and add darker and darker colors until I get what I want.
No sure what's up for the weekend, but Monday is the Magnolia-licious Blog Hop-we are showcasing the stamp "Right through my Heart" and Diana has a contest going on right now if you use that stamp and show her your card.
You can also check out details for being a guest designer for Mo for the month of May Here are the DETAILS.
Well, we have had some beautiful weather lately in Western New York! I guess that's changing for a couple of days, but I don't card, cuz we have next week off for spring break! I'm sooooo happy about that! So much to do!

Welcome Puddle Jumpers!

Oh, yes and BLOG HOPPERS!! It's the Mos's Digital Pencil Design Team's monthly BLOG HOP! My blog is the beginning of the hop for the first time EVA!! So glad you are here!! Our challenge is to use BUTTONS on a project and (if possible) in a different way. Well, I had no different way so I just used LOTSA them!! My image is from Mos' Digital Pencil and this image is Spring Fairy Puddle if you want to check it out. Also here is the link to Mo's Digital Pencil BLOG where you can see the latest and greatest released images!!

Now, to the card-my base is Bermuda Bay, then some Celery, a layer of Bo Bunny Double Dots and the Paisley is an older My Mind's Eye paper. I used a Martha Stewart Edge punch0hydrangeas and some stitching in aqua thread. The flowers are cut from PTI felt and my many buttons are also from PTI. I didn't have a teal colored embroidery floss so I colored some white with BG78. It is supposed to mimic the ribbons on the Bullfrog's legs.

Now check below if you want to know the colors of copics I used. THEN BE SURE TO HEAD OVER TO PINKPUDS-MINA'S BLOG TO SEE HER WONDERFUL CREATION!
Thanks so much for joining us today!

Magnolia-licious Two Tulips!

Hi friends! Thanks for all the very nice comments on my Clean and Simple card yesterday-here is another! Yep, this is a Magnolia stamp from Magnolia-licious and aren't the tulips pretty? They are #453 and you can see them at Magnolia-licious I can see this card done in red, in orange, in yellow, in peach, in purple, lavender and even in a lime green! What a a great card set it would make! And I'm telling you these tulips colored up QUICK!! I did draw in the grass with my markers and then a few lines of black so the grass looked like part of the stamped image. The sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink set. The stripes in the background are from Vintage Stripes and the leaf image on the top is another set from PTI. I stamped them in Versamark ink on the Hawaiian Shores card stock. For the text scallops I used the large scallop die (PTI) and an old book from college! I KNEW I would need them again someday!! (College was about 35 years ago!!) The book pages had aged nicely in the attic, but I did use some distress tea dye ink on the edges anyway! Dawn McVey gets credit for the book page scallops.
An idea from Nicole Heady herself is the strip of Scor-tape which is then covered with a very find iridescent glitter.

Copics used were a few of the same Blue Greens and and Greens from the card yesterday.

I hope you have something to CELEBRATE today!
Hugs, Cheryl

Magnolia meets Papertrey Ink! (AND Scor-tape!)

Good morning! By going to my craft room yesterday I did find a little Mojo to work with! Then I didn't want to stop! Now it's Monday and back to work!
This card has something I saw on a PTI designer's blog awhile back-see the ribbon pieces that Tilda is sitting on? That's it!
I took some white scrap cardstock (4.25 x 5.5 inches) and covered it with my WIDE scor-tape. It only took three strips to cover it. Then I laid peeled off the paper to reveal the sticky side and and laid my ribbon pieces onto it. I cut off a peice about 1.25 inches and layered it on Hawaiin Shores card stock. AND I have more left to work with another day! Makes me happy!
What do you think?
The rest of the card is pretty simple and this Tilda is soooo sweet! She is Tilda with 3 Flowers (#3028) available at MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS AND you can put scor-tape in the search box, see all the sizes and order that, too! GOD BLESS DIANA!
She's colored in copics:
skin E000. E11 and R20
flowers R000 and R20
Dress BG11, BG32 and BG15
Shoes and hair E30, E42, E25 and E29
stems/leaf 20, G24
Thanks for visiting today! Wishing you a productive Monday!

Happy Anniversary to US!

Dave and I are celebrating 18 wonderful years today! He is a great guy and my bestest friend! This, of course, is the card I made for him. I used a Stamping Bella image, but can't remember the name of it right now. The paper is chocolate, yo yo yellow and Basic Grey Origins. I colored the happy couple with copic markers.
April 11 is also my parents' anniversary. Dave and I were married on their 44th anniversary which I think is so neat! This would be mom and dad's 62nd anniversary.
Happy Anniversary also to my friend, Lisa and her husband, Kevin.
Lisa and I met on SCS a couple of years ago and soon discovered we were married on exactly the same day-April 11, 1992!! So, happy 18th to you two, too!

Hope everyone is having a great day! I'm off to my craft room to search for my Mojo-it must be in there somewhere!
Take care, Cheryl

Quickie Dahlia!

Hi-the promised post for today, but I gotta get to work soon! I'm going to do a few of these for April Birthday cards so they will arrive ON TIME! A nice change from my usual late cards!
It's made from PTI's set Dahlias. The dp is also PTI. I used the old script SU background in vintage cream ink. I wish I'd had time for real sewing, but I settled for Faux stitches with my black pen. ETA: copics used: RV04, RV17, RV19 YG21, YG93 and YG95
And that's it! Thanks for coming by! I appreciate those who helped me with comments yesterday! Thanks!
Have a super Thursday!

One more bunny!

How did Easter come and go so quickly?! I'm not ready! I had colored this extra bunny when I posted my other card with her. I just HAD to use her with my new Kioshi papers! They are just perfect! I made this card 31/2" x 6". It's a very fun size! The base is Barely Banana, then Orchid from SU. The ribbon is from Papertrey Ink as is the button. Pretty straight forward card really. I think it would make an adorable thank you to my sister who hosted us for Easter dinner-THAT IS IF I could stand to let her go!! LOL!
Speaking of that: I'd like to take an informal poll; Would anyone buy my cards if I open an ETSY SHOP? I do complete the insides, but not really fancy. I would provide an envelope. I'm thinking they would be around 10.00. Would love to know what you think! Your help is appreciated!
So here's the other card if you want to see the colors I used HOPPY EASTER.
Just a note: I've begun to use E11 to shade her face on top of the E000. I like it!
TIP: I color the cheek area and face first with E000, putting a little extra on the one cheek. Then while it's still a little wet (fast!) I add my R20 to one cheek at a time and blend with E000. It helps the edges of the cheek color not be so obvious. Then I do the other cheek the same way

I have some April birthday cards and that Thank you to my sister to get done tonight so I hope to have a post tomorrow as well! Thanks for check out my Post Easter Tilda!
Have a lovely spring day!!

FS165-LATE

I just love this little bunny that Mo drew for us! He is sad because he is Late. Wouldn't this make a cute belated birthday card? I've said before that I can always use them. The sketch is the JUGS27 sketch and it is excellent! I used the PTI scallop border to cut the bottom of my card. Then I went to Bermuda Bay paper and the wonderful Graphic 45 paper called On the Boardwalk. It has fabulous turquoise and rust vintage colors. It's yummy! I almost don's want to cut it!
The ribbon is PTI's new Hawaiin Shores. I love the paper color and the ribbon lots! I wouldn't recommend the ink because it does not match the paper and ribbon! Oh well!
Here are my copic colors:
BG and Floor E33, E25 E99 then T0, W00 and W2
Bunny E30, E42 , E50 and R20
Shirt E33, E97, E99, E08 and E15
Vest BG10, BG13, BG15, BG18 and BG49
Thanks for hopping by and I wish all of you a Happy Easter!

Magnolia-licious Sketch for April!

Hi! I love a day off work! It allowed me time for a nice long, early morning walk and then time to complete my April sketch card! Our sketch is my the amazingly talented and fabulous Claudia of Pretty Pressings! She kept it nice and simple so the possibilities are endless and I love that! Thank you, Claudia!
My card base is Purely Pomegranate and I used dp from Basic Grey (Green at Heart) and cosmo Cricket (Farm Fresh). They mixed beautifully, IMO. I used images from Magnolia-licious, of course- the Open Gate and Tilda with eggs in her Apron. The sentiment is from Inky Antics. For details on making and entering a card this month, please visit our Magnolia Highlites Blog!
Once again, I forgot to write colors down and in a rush to clean up my desk I put the markers away. Sorry, I'll try to do better!
The bunny is because my friend LISA of KIND CREATIONS is so good at staging her cards that I wanted to try it! I've got a lot to learn! LOL!
My new car came to me yesterday! The dealer brought it down (an hour away) because we had driven there twice this week! I love it! It is another Subaru Outback (DH would add "Motortrend's Sport Utility vehicle of the year!") I traded in my blue one for a beauty-ful green one!
My winner of the Honey Bee Tilda card that I colored for the Copic creations Challenge, Mar 15 is # 18 chosen by Random.org
Barb, an RN is Michigan, this is you! Please contact me at drowley6@stny.rr.com with your address when you get a chance!
Have a great day, everyone, and thanks for visiting!

Copic Creations Challenge 25-

FLOWERS! What could be better for spring!? Nothing, I think! So here is a flower from one of my many PTI sets! I used R20, R24 and R27 to color the petals. The center is Y21 with touches of Y24 and the leaves are G20, G24 and G82. I colored this flower like one I saw on Debbie Olson's blog (Thinking Inking) awhile ago. She does a fabulous job of coloring so I CASED on this one!
I have tomorrow off so I plan to be back with my Magnolia April sketch card AND the winner of this card for the previous Copic Creations Challenge.
There's still time to comment today!!
And don't forget to head over to our CCC blog to check out the beautifully colored flowers! We hope you'll join us for the prize from Paper Garden-It's 25.00!

Okay, guess that's it for this post! Have a sunny day!
