Tilda says "Summer's Here!"

Good morning! Well, we have arrived at our last day of school at Cassadaga Valley! Yippeee!
The students will arrive at 8:45 and depart at 10:00-silly, huh? I have some work to finish and then we have a brunch. The rumor is that we don't have to return to school after brunch! This is the card that I made for my friend, Eileen, whose son I wrote about the other day. This is our last day of working together in the same room. The inside sentiment is, "You make me smile". I picked that one because I don't want to cry! It'll be tough!

Anyway, I love this summer Tilda! She also looks great on the dock, but I had this oval already to go so she's on a bench at the pool! I hope she doesn't get splinters! I was hoarding that red polka dot brad, but it seems perfect for Eileen's card! Do you think so? Here's where I got my stamp- Magnolia-licious! Hope you can check it out!

I have so many summer goals, but for today the objective is to finish my room at school!
What are your summer goals? Cleaning? More stamping and posts?

I thank you so much for visiting my blog! And I thank you so much if you take the time to comment! Big hugs to ya'!

Angel's Landing box

Good morning! I made this mini Pizza box from directions I found on SCS. It is so easy and so cute when it's finished! I used a Bear from Judi's Mini Bears and Birds set of digital images! The image is available from Angel's Landing!
She has a number of great digital sets available for really great prices! I print mine out on Neenah Solar White classic crest and color them with my copic markers! No running or bleeding! They color beautifully!
This small box is for a friend of mine. I'm giving it to her with a Bath and Body gift card tucked inside! Shhhh! Don't tell!
I used Baja Breeze to make the box and My Mind's Eye dp. Of course, I used my Nestabilities and did some extra doodling on the edges. The ribbon is from Papertrey Ink.

I hope you've enjoyed your visit and will return soon!
You still have time to enter the Copic Creations Challenge of coloring some wood with your markers. See the details HERE!
You have until June 30th to participate! The winner gets a bunch of Unity Stamp Co. products!

The Graduate!

Good morning! I apologize for being so long between posts! Just busy with end of the school year stuff. Here is Edwin the graduate from my friend, Diana!
Here's the site you can shop on:
Magnolia-licious If you like Edwin stamps just put "Edwin" in the search box and you'll see what Diana has available. If you don't see what you want just email and ask her about it!
Well I colored Edwin with my copic markers:
E000 and E01 for the skin with E93, my new favorite for glowing cheeks!
His robe is C1, 3, 5 and 9 (all the cs I have!)
The black and gray dp is from Basic Grey-can't remember the collection, but it's the one with the oranges with gray and black. I combined it with my solid red in Pure Poppy from PTI.
This card is for a 5 year old who graduates from kindergarten today! He's the son of the aide with whom I work (and my very dear friend!). Now Eileen is my age (well, 7 months older! and I'm 51 for another month! She had Collin at 47 years old! She is wonder woman, I tell ya! We have worked together in a Special Education class for 15 years! We joke that we've lasted longer than most marriages! She and I won't be working together next year (thanks to administrators who think they know everything!) and it's like losing my right arm and getting divorced all at once. With luck, we will still be in the same building.
Okay, enough of my wandering! Congratulations to my little friend, Collin, the graduate!
Hope you have a day to celebrate!

It's a Blog Hop, Baby!!

Hi! Welcome to Angel's Landing Very first Blog hop! Judi wants you to take a look at her new release of digital designs! They are Ca-ute!! If you started with me , please head on over to the official start of the hop which is Judi's Angel's Landing blog! Her releases are called Toys on Wheels and Alphabet Train!
For my card I used a base of Blush blossom, a layer of Soft Sky and then the beautiful plaid paper from Graphic 45. It's called Baby and Bride. I colored this image from Alphabet Train and used a tag from Pierced Tags by Judi. I print the images from the files I downloaded with ease on Neenah classic crest solar white paper. It's colored with my copic markers and then cut with a nestability die.
The satin ribbon is from Papertrey Ink. I used two markers of each color this time instead of the usual 3 or 4 or 5 or.....
The colors are: E31, and E33, E93 and R22, BG10 and BG72, G20 and G21.

After me, please head over to Sparkle Smith's Blog, Sparkle's Creations to see more of Judi's images! Tow of the designers are giving blog Candy, but you'll have to travel around to see who!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hop on!

Copic Creations Challenge-Wood

Good Monday morning! They get better because after today I only have one more Monday to get through before its' Summer! Well, our challenge was to showcase how we color wood with our copics. I used Y21, E33, E35 and E37 for my wooden apple bucket. I also use the blender between colors. My white paper is Neenah Classic Crest Solar White. the markers blend very nicely on it. I also like Papertrey White Select Card stock.
After I colored my image and cut it with the circle nestability, I left it in the die and use a 1 inch stencil brush in Adirondack Butterscotch for the area around the bucket. I was too lazy to make a mask so I just tried to keep the color on the edge. I used C1 and C3 around the image itself when I colored it. It kinda looks green with the addition of the yellow.
My card base is Kraft, followed by So Saffron and the the gorgeous Graphic 45 paper. The small dot is from Bo Bunny-they make every color! All layers are sponged with Distress ink in Walnut Stain. The red strip is Papertrey ink Poppy Red ribbon.
The image? Well, if you haven't seen it before is from Magnolia!
I got mine from Magnolia-licious. I don't see the image there now, but please email Diana if you are interested in getting it! she'll help you out!
And here is the link for the Copic Creations Challenge blog so you can see the wonderful creations from the designers in one place. Copic Creations Challenge . This challenge is sponsored by Unity Stamps and you can win a prize if you particpate along with us!
(If it's not there yet, it will be later!)
Not too many days left to say this-I'm off to work!
See you soon and thanks so much for visiting!

FS123 Edwin's out to play!

I don't give my Edwins enough chance to get out and play! Today's featured stamper on SCS is Sumtoy. I chose a card she made in April. The link is in my splitcoast gallery, but it had the angled panel and the card had motion. That's what I wanted to CASE. I don't know about you , but it is SO hard for me to angle a panel like this! I think I have a need to make everything nice and square to the card base! Anyone out there like that?
Thanks to Sumtoy for giving me a push out of my box (literally!)!

Lots to show this week! Monday is the Copic Creations Challenge and Wednesday is a Blog Hop for Angel's Landing! Hope you can stop back for a visit!

And...I'm so happy to say that I heard from Linda S. and I have a winner! I'm putting a little package together for her today which includes the Post It notepad and box.
Thanks for playing, Linda!

It is a gorgeous day here in Western New York, a perfect day, in fact and I'm headed to the deck to read for awhile!

Ladybug Tilda

Good morning! This is another card I made for Sharon at my LSS. this time I used Tilda with Ladybug from Magnolia-licious

I've colored her with my copics and cut her out. I just cut off the antennae and then redrew them when I mounted her on the Nestability. I didn't use dimensionals, just mounted her flat.

I'm so sorry for the unclear image! I don't know what was up with my camera that day!
We're off for a trip with the second graders to the Buffalo Zoo today! Yeah! Should be a fun day-hope the weather holds out!
Hope your day includes something WILD too!

A Pillow's not always for sleeping!

Good morning! Here is a Pillow Box I made with a Template and Digital Images from Angel's Landing! This was just so fun to make! I printed out a template pattern which comes with the Pierced Background set. It could also be printed right on dp I stapled it to some K& Co paper from the Madeline pack and cut in out, then scored the score lines to fold it. That part was done!
After that, I printed out one copy of Simply Flowers onto Neenah Classic Crest, solar White card stock and one copy of Pierced Tags on the same card stock. The neat thing when you buy digital images is that they are on your computer as long as you want them! I could have printed out more so I could use some of the same flower.
I colored my flowers with copics and the colors are listed below. Then I cut them out and mounted them with glue dots onto a Nestability shape which I had sponged with Papertrey Ink Aqua Mist. I bent the flower petals up a bit for dimension. I had also added a yellow brad to the small blue flower before attaching.
Oh yes, I had also used my little slot punch from SU on the sides of the Nestability die so I could thread the ribbon through and around the box.
I sponged the tag with aqua after cutting it out. It looks a little green because there was some green ink on my sponge! Oops! I added some sparkle with Stardust stickles to the flower centers!
So that's my Angel's Landing project for this week! Judi's other designers are posted on my sidebar and I hope you will visit them! I know I will!
Here are the copic colors I used:
RV10, Rv91, RV32, RV34, YG21, YG25, YG17, BG10, BG11, BG18, Y21, Y11
Thanks so much for stopping by! The winner of the Post it notepad and holder for last Friday's blog hop is posted below.
Have a great day!

New card, Same Tilda!

I couldn't let the weekend go without a post so I want to show you a card I made for Sharon at my LSS. I used the same Tilda as on the previous post. She is called Spring Tilda, but I think she can be used all year! I love her polka dotted shirt! She is a sweet, little thing! She came to me from Magnolia-licious!
To decide on her colors I went for this terrific Cosmo Cricket dp called Early Bird! I'm crazy about it! You can scroll down to see an earlier post with Tilda and her watering can and this paper. My card stock choices are Poppy Red (PTI) and So Saffron (SU). I used an EK Success scallop punch and PTI ribbon and buttons.
Guess there isn't much more to say tonight! I am getting excited about summer! Only 3 weeks to go! This will be the first summer in awhile that I haven't taken a class-finished my 30 hours past my Masters' Degree and that's it for me!
Please check the post below and leave a comment to win the set (an I plan to toss in some other goodies!) if you haven't already. I think I'll close it Tuesday, June 9 at 6:00 and pick a winner.
Working on another Angel's Landing project that you can see on Wednesday, but I may have another card (Magnolia?) before then!
So here are the colors I used:
BG10, Bg11, BG72, BG18, YR68, R17, R46, R37, R39, YG21, YG91, YG95, Y32, YR12
Her face is E000, E01, and E93 for her cheeks. Y21, Eo9 and E37 for her hair.
Thanks for visiting! See you soon, I hope! Thanks for all the nice comments on the blog hop! There will be more!

Summer Notes Blog Hop!

Yeah! It's Friday and today is the day for the Magnolia-Highlites Summeer Notes Blog Hop!
Here's my project made from a design by Bridgett Owens! It's for a note pad holder and a little box to match! What a cute little gift! You can find her tutorial HERE! I used Cosmos Cricket L'il Man and My Minds Eye Bloom and Grow on mine. I just love Orange and Aqua. My box is made from Kraft, such a great neutral color. The image is Spring Tilda and the flower is also from Magnolia-licious.
I used Stampin' Up ribbon for the handle. It looks like the box is lined but it isn't. I just added a piece of dp around the edge to cover the ribbon ends for a more finished look. Images are colored with copic markers, of course!

Okay, now for the fun! If you started here, please go to Suzanne's Blog, ScrapBitz.

She is our official start and she did a great job of organizing us! Thanks, Suzanne! She will start you off with all the details that I've left out :) and send you to another blog!

Good evening!
Well, it's evening my time!
Which brings me to why I'm posting! I need to practice scheduling a post for a certain time and the last one posted at a different time than I THOUGHT I'd set it for!
So here is a picture of the lupines in our back yard looking back at our deck and house. It's beautiful here tonight so while Dave was grilling chicken I was out there with my camera. Aren't they pretty?
Please don't think you came for nothing! As soon as I'm done with this "practice" I have to get my post secheduled for the Magnolia-licious Highlites Summer Notes Blog Hop which takes place tomorrow! Be sure to check back in to see what's happenin'!

Angels Landing first card!

Good morning! This is my first card for Judi Maddigan at Angel's Landing Digital Stamping and Paper Crafts Project ideas. She has some very cute animal designs, flowers and other elements for sale on her site. This bear is from the Mini Bears and Birds download. For 4.99 yo get them in differents sizes and poses AND colors! I hope you'll check it out here at Angel's Landing. It's easier than I first thought! When you order, you get an email, almost immediately and can download the designs to your computer and print them right away! I printed mine on Neenah Solar white Classic Crest cardstock from 7kidscollegefund

It colors beautifully! I used brown copic markers in E31, E33, E35, and E37. His cheeks and ears are E93 and R22.
The green nestability oval and and orange dotted paper are from Basic Grey's Lime Rickey. The yellow and white daisy paper was a free download from the Stamp out Alzheimers fund raiser last week. I just colored in the center of the flowers with my copics. I used more dp from my Lime Rickey pad to punch the green circle and orange flower.
The bear and the flowers are mounted on dimensionals and , as you can see, I outlinged the nestability oval with wihite dots. That's it!
Thanks for stopping by to see what I've been up to!
Have a great day!

Clearly Summer!

Not really! We had a chilly high of around 55 degrees yesterday! Brrrr!

Well, now I can tell you that I am so honored to have been asked to participate in the Copic Creations Challenge!
This wonderful group of women chooses a copic technique twice each month (the first and fifteenth). "Lessons" are showcased on the blog and best of all, YOU are invited to participate to win a prize!
Want all the details and to see these great designers' cards?
Here's the Copic Creations Challenge Blog!
My clear item is his pink lemonade glass. I used a R83, RV32, and RV14 to color his glass. Then I added stickles on top of that.

This was my first CC challenge so I decided to try something new for me. I mounted him on the outside of a Clear Acetate card. On the INSIDE behind him, I glued to background. The I used Purely Pomegranate (stamped with my Plaid bg from All that Scraps) on the back part of the card where we place our sentiments. I'd show that to you, but I stamped it crooked, so I have to come up with Plan B to fix it!
It was tough to photo without glare, and as you can see, I gave up! There is another view on the CC blog.
So please head there to see the other cards and directions for entering your masterpiece!

I hope it's Clearly Summer where you are today!
