The Chill of Winter...

is warmed by new stamps! Angel's Landing is releasing some new digital images today and Judi has some really cute ones! Again!! In addition, it's a blog hop so you can see many cards and projects made with her new designs! If you've started here you may want to skip over to the Angel's Landing Blog for the official start. I decide to use these adorably dress polar bear friends on a Criss Cross box. This is a free template over at Nicole Heady's blog, Capture the Moment. I made it with chocolate cardstock and used pieces of Basic Grey's Figgy pudding to match the warm brown and cool turquoise that I used on my bears. I made the tag with SU stamps. My treat bag has M & Ms in it, but can't you just imagine this as a little package of hot chocolate and marshmallows. With a mug to go with it-what a great gift!!

I took a lot of photos trying to get a clear one! Didn't happen, though and I hope you can see how cute these guys are!

Colors used are: B00, B02, BG01, BG15
E93 and R0000 for cheeks
Browns-E30, E31, E33, E35, E25, E37 and E29
Thanks for stopping (and hopping) by today!
Your next stop is: The wonderful Jennifer Scull at Just Coffee and Stamps an ribbons and paper...
Enjoy your day!
(Thanks for letting me know that you appreciate seeing the colors I use!)

Angel's Landing Baby Book

Hi everyone! Sorry I've been absent a couple of days! Life got in the way of my stamping time!
Today's post is a photo album or mini scrapbook if I put more time into it!
I have these photo holders that I got from a friend a few years ago.
I make a "cover" to insert in the front and one for the back insert. The remaining photo inserts can hold at least 20 photos! Or a mini scrapbook page could be made to insert into each one after the photo is added.
Here I"ve made my cover with Toys on Wheels from Angel's Landing. I used Basic Grey Lemonade paper to guide my coloring with copic markers.
Here is a picture of what the photo album looks like with my 'cover' inserted. Even the bow fits nicely, and doesn't look too mushed.
I love these because they can be carried in a purse (by a new grandma, for example) and nothing gets yucky from being in her purse.
I made a couple for a for the friend that I was a secret Santa for last year. She has one for each of her daughters. She put pictures in the little albums that the girls would enjoy looking at. Don't kids love seeing pictures of themselves when they were even smaller!
Imagine them for pictures of faraway relatives that you want your children to remember! Perfect for little hands!

Well, thanks for visiting toda. I hope you've been inspired to create something!
For more inspiration, please check out today's other ideas from the Angel's Landing design team on the blog! I know they'll be great!
Have a great day! I'm off to breakfast with some friends from school!
Oh yes, Ihaven't heard frommy Blog Candy winner so you know what that means?! I'll be choosing again later today!
Please check back!

Keeping it Simple

I uploaded the same picture twice by accident. Sorry about that, no time to figure out how to delete!

Here's what I wanted to say in this post. Sometimes I give a friend a couple of cards to send out, but they like them so much that they want to keep them! Awww, that's nice!

This simple set I made is a birthday gift for a friend. I made her 8 (!) cards like this. They are blank so she can use them as notecards, and they aren't really "one of a kind" cards that so she will feel fine about using them. AND they didn't ake me long to make.

A great background, some super patterned dp and colors to match, a border punch and some ribbon. Put your cards together all ways to please yourself and you're certain to please someone else!

I package mine in the excellent clear boxes from Papertrey. No wrapping necessary or you can tie a bow around and attach a gift tag. Homemeade in the same colors, of course!

Again, my apologies aobut the two pictures the same. All the cards are different!

Thanks for looking today! Cheryl
