MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS DT-Blog Hop! Here Comes the Bride!!

Welcome to the June Blog hop for the Magnolia-lcious DT!  Our theme is Here Comes the Bride!! I'm the start of the hop (but my post was lost!!), but the entire order of inspiration is set at the Magnolia-lcious blog! HERE

I've used TILDA WITH VEIL from the Weddding Colleciton 2010 for my card.  I don't see here in the Magnolia-lcious Store right not, but if you missed out and want her, please don't hesitate to contact Diana and ask!  She has be best, most friendly service and a shopper rewards program!!

I decided on beige colors for my Tilda's dress.  I think this could be used as a shower card to accompany the gift for the bride (and groom).
A very short story! I chose pink as my accent color because I wore pink for our wedding! I got married at age 34 and decided I could wear any color I wanted!  So, pink, it was!!
Her dress is E30 and the pinks are R81, 83 and 85.

Now, since I'm late with my post I must finish (get ready for work! Ugh!) and send you off to my buddy, Sharon, at Gramma's House of Cards!! I know she will have you drooling over what she has made for you!
Thanks so much for hopping with us! Please consider joining in before the end of the month for prize $ at  Magnolia-licious!
Enjoy the rest of your day and make the most of it!! See you soon!
Hugs, Cheryl

I Brake for...SUMMER!

Hello!  We've had some cool weather this week, but by the weekend it will be more summer like!  I can't wait!  I Brake for Challenges has a new one for you today (and for the month of June!).  We'd love to see your cards that are all about..you guessed it....SUMMER!!
My card is about my craving for ice cream nearly every evening after supper!  Not ice cream from the home freezer, but from an ice cream stand, shop or whatever you want to call it!  My favorite?  Peanut butter sundaes! You can hold the cherry, but definitely with whipped cream! Hubby is a plain vanilla kind of guy!  We don't give in to it every night, but there does happen to be a new place in town called King Kone

Anyway, my card used the digital image from I Brake for Stamps called Ice Cream Sundae. I love this simple line image!  Fun, fun to color!  I used Crystal Effects on my fancy ice cream dish and stickles on the cherry and spoon for more bling.   The paper is from Lilybee designs and reminds me of wallpaper you might see at an olde fashioned ice cream shoppe.

We hope you'll join us in our June challenge. Details are on the i Brake for Challenges blog.  You don't have to use an IBFS  image, but if you have one, we'd love to see it!  If you go to buy something, please remember you can ALWAYS use my code of SAVE10CHERYL for 10% off your entire order!
I am also entering this card into the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge!

June Challenge card-Water, water, everywhere!!

Hello!! I have been a hopeless slacker with my blog and I am so sorry!  Work/school is really beating me up these days!  We've had nice weather so I've also had to focus on getting flowers planted.  And, then there's just the simple problem that i don't know where the time goes!
But, today I have a card for Mindy's excellent June challenge-to use something on your card having to do with water.  I love, love, love all my summer Tildas so it was hard to choose. I settled on TILDA IN KEY LARGO  ( link to the mini version) with the seashore background from a year or two ago.  If anyone has the numbers for these stamps, will you jot me a note, please? I am not able to find them anywhere!
But, YOU can check out the CHALLENGE HERE!

I masked the image and the scenery into one image.  They are cut with different sizes of the spellbinders die from xpress it blending card, purely pomegranate and pool party.  The pool party layer is stamped (in baja breeze) with a wavy looking background called Elegant Fronds from JustRite cling stamps.  The sentiment is from Lily of the Valley.
I used some Stampin' Up brightly colored buttons and paper for the inside.  I haven't decided on a sentiment for the open area.
And, here are a couple more photos.
I used E11 and E33 on the sand.  Her skin is R30, E000 and E11.  I think her hair is Y21 and E99.  The blues are BG10, BG11, BG15  and BG53.  Oranges are YR61. 04 and 18.  The pinks are RV14, 17 ann 19.
I'm also entering in challenge 163 at Cupcake Inspirations! and at Paper Players! And I've also entered in the new Tilda's Town challenge (Tilda/Edwin and accessory stamp) Take a look!
Thanks for coming by to have a look see.  I'll try not to be a stranger!  Please join us in the Water, water, everywhere challenge before June 30!!
Hugs and have a great day! Cheryl
