Hello! The Just Us Girls team has challenge #281 for you today and Lisa has chosen some terrific colors! And, here they are! Very pretty and kind of springy, or even nautical, if you like! Please check OUR BLOG for tons of DT inspiration with these colors!
My card is 4.75" square so it will fit in a 5 inch envelope. The card base is Crisp Canteloupe then there is a layer of cream. I used this awesome quilt die from My Favorite Things for this easy to create card.
I didn't want to cover the pretty pattern with a sentiment blog, so I decided vellum would be just the thing! It is stamped and white heat embossed and then cut with MFT's stitched banners stax. A couple of glue dots behind the words so they can't be seen hold it in place. Then a few peachy colored pearls and the card was done! I can use the extra pieces to create more cards with the same colors, but different quilt patterns. Wouldn't this make a great gift set for someone!? Hmmm....has me thnking of upcoming birthdays!
Well, that's it. With this past week off school and very, very cold temps here in WNY I did get some extra cards made (and cleaned my studio, too!), so I should have a couple of posts this week!
Come back, won't you!?
Thanks for visiting! Cheryl

This is so lovely Cheryl...your paper selections are gorgeous! Glad you enjoyed you time off from school.
What an awesome card! Love the design and love the colors.
I love that die and the papers you used are perfect! Love the vellum flag too! Very pretty card! Hope you are staying warm. It was in the upper 80s in Mexico...sorry! :-)
What a fun cutting plate! Love the pattern you made with it, and the sentiment on vellum looks great without covering up the pattern! Well done!
I love your gorgeous quilt block! Great choice of patterns and the vellum is perfect to show off that sentiment with the pearls and not hide that beautiful background.
