Pretty lame title! Sorry-it's Sunday night and I have no imagination! Edwin is in his patriotic clothes for the JUGs Challenge. It's Lisa's week to post the challenge and she decided on Red, White and Blue with the option of Kraft! Great idea!
I used my Papertrey Ink woodgrain impression template with Kraft paper. Then I sponged it with Distress inks in Vintage Photo and Walnut. Well, of course, then I didn't want to cover it up, sooo... another of my simple cards! I have a small stamp that says, "AHOY" so I will probably put that inside. (How I wish I had a little sailboat charm!)
I didn't keep track of the blues that I used or the hair.
The oar (or paddle) is Y21, E35, and E99.
His skin is E000, R20 and E11
The reds are R22, R24, R29 and R59
Guess that's it for today! Thanks so much for coming by! I wish you a great day!
Cheryl

Hi Cheryl, what a creative way to use the kraft paper. Coloring is great. Blessings to you, Rea
I'm always excited to see an Edwin card....never enough of those. Poor Edwin seems to get neglected.
Your card really brought that cutie to life....you colored him with perfection.
Hi Cheryl! I'm so glad you played with my JUGs colors! Aren't they fun? Nothing like patriotic colors! Love your "Edwin with Paddle"! LOL!! He's so cute in his red white and blue! I just placed a PTI order and forgot to order that woodgrain plate...drats! Thanks for playing along with Just Us girls!
CUTE! The woodgrain paper is perfect! :)
Hi Cheryl, Terrific colouring - love your card. A sailboat charm would be cute. Have a great day, Nancy
Cheryl,
You work is always fantastic. Simple is sometimes better and what GREAT wood you have made! Would have been a shame to cover it up. I have never seen that embossing plate but it is sure a great one to have and your colouring of the wood is perfect :o)
Hugs, Candy
This is so cute, love the embossing folder you used, it's perfect!
Hugs, Christine
He's great! Love the wood grain! Your coloring as always is fabulous!
Hey, Cheryl. This is great for Lisa's challenge! Cute, too. I LOVE the woodgrain--I missed that PTI had an impression plate like that!! Yes, a sailboat charm would be perfect, but it is already perfect even without it. If you check flowergal36 (Dawn's) gallery, you will see that she has some pretty amazing sailing knots tied on one of her images and a link to a tutorial on how to do it. Just 'cause I know you like to play with that "little something extra"!! Hugs
