Too cute to spook!!
I've always loved October and Halloween! Not the trouble making, too scary kind of Halloween, but the fun, candy, and DRESSING UP!! So fun! We had a wonderful Halloween party and parade at school yesterday. Before I put all my Halloween papers and images away this year (sniff, sniff!) I wanted (had!) to ink up this little witch Tilda and her owl. What better paper for a quick card this morning than Basic Grey's Eerie! The card is 4.25x 6" to accommodate the design of the bg paper.
Tilda's purple dress (which is more of a dusty purple IRL) is V91, V93 and v95 in case you are interested. They are wonderful shades together and because I was in a hurry I just looked at my printout of the colors that Papertrey Ink recommends for their papers. It is a great "go to" for color choices. You can see it here: Papertrey INK. Just click on download chart.
Of course, my images came from MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS
Diana has the best prices around and if you don't belong, already, please join our Yahoo group for a discount!
Well, I have got to get busy in my craft room. DH and I are trading rooms (my craft room for his dressing room) Dressing room is a nice way to say the extra room that has his closet because I take all the space in the other two closets in the house! Small house, remember!? Anyway, I will have more room for my STUFF! I'm searching for storage cabinets, but for now just want to get settled in there with the hodge podge of cheap storage that I already own!
Can you tell I'm excited?! Back tomorrow with a card for the Copic Creations Challenge-I'll finish it today, hopefully before the trick or treaters come! TV date with DH later-no exciting evening here-we're homebodies!
Have a great day and thanks for coming to see me!

I Dunno...
Bella and Bronte are colored with my copics and this image didn't take long to do at all. It's printed quite small at about 3 inches tall so she fit well in the nestabilities and on this 5" square Gate fold card. I think I will add some sparkle to her skirt before mailing. It's tacked closed with one of those great little magnets. You can hide them under the dp and it works great!
This is a reminder that Mo's challenge team has posted their weekly challenge which is to make a
FANCY FOLD CARD. If you've been here before you know that I don't do really fancy stuff. I love the simple with the focus on coloring and paper. But they want you to know it only has to be a different fold from the traditional or you can get as fancy as you want!
Here's the link : Mo's Challenge Blog
Have a Bootiful day and thanks for all the great comments yesterday and always!

A Little Yummy for Diana!
Anyway, I used paper from October Afternoon and from Graphic 45 as well as a sketch from one of the Magnolia sketch challenges. (I can't remember which one!) The paper right behind Tilda is from the Basic Grey Nook and Pantry pad. I love it because it allowed me to have a little more white. Most of my white is cream. this card is 6 x 6 inches.
I'm rambling horribly as I type this so why don't I just jot the colors down for you now?
E000, E01 and E93-skin
E42 for beige
Y21, E33 for her hair
Reds are R17, R29, R37 and R39
Spoon E31, E33, E25 and E37

Owl be There!
Before you ask-Yes, I definitely CASEd my friend, Suzanne on this one (scroll down her post to see her cards). My sister's birthday was the 24th. I needed a card, and QUICK! My sister collects owls (I immedialtey purchased this digi set from Pink Cat Studio) and I have the same paper Suzanne used so I was in business!

Tilda and Edwin AND CAS
The hop started at Kerry's excellent blog-Three Clovers Designs, so you may want to start there to be certain you see all the samples. Youwould have arrived here fromthe fabulous Becca at Amazing Paper Grace
I CASEd Kerry for this one. She showed us a similar layout witht he ribbon tags and I used it! Thanks, Kerry! I think I've said before how much I love this Tilda-she is a three season gal! I had her colored up ahile ago when I made another card (I'll check for the post when I get a chance-colors may be listed there!) Many of the new Tildas have bigger eyes. I like that look so when I finished this (older) Tilda I used my black copic pen to enlarge and darken her eyes. It can add a real pop to them. I darkened Edwin's below because they just didn't stamp as dark as I like them. Try it!

Patience? Not me!
Well, I love aqua and orange and hadn't used any of this Bo Bunny kitchen spice paper. It was my inspiration for the colors of copics I used.

Art Gone Wild!
I don't know how wild this card is, but the image is made by Art Gone Wild and isn't it cute? I'm a sucker for cute animals! This Autumn image was colored with my copics awhile back and I'm sorry but I don't have the colors written down.
The card base is Kraft, then a layer of Ripe Avocado and then that GREAT plaid from my DCWV pad from Joann's.
I cut the oak leaves from a spellbinders die then emboassed them through the machine. Before removing the die I sponged tonal colors on the leaves. I think I used pumpkjn, really rust and burgundy. The leaves are made from card stock in ruby red, saffron and mustard.
I'm pre posting because I have book club tonight so I'll keep it short!
Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,
Cheryl

CCC challenge (Oct. 15) Color Something Black
It's no secret that I love my Tilda and Edwins! Really, I do! Magnolia also makes some great "Accessory stamps" and Diana (Magnolia-licious)
carrries lots of them! This Hanging Cat and Tag are BOTH in stock now. If you are in our Magnolia-licious group and mention that in the comment section you can get 10% off! (check details at the store, please)
I used my new cosmo Cricket Nutmeg paper (found it at Croppin' Paradise). I love the dep, earthy tones. This card is only 4 1/4x4 1/4 so it could be used as a gift tag, but can also be mailed in an A2 envelope. I think I could also have put a small "Merry Christmas" in the tag space and made it a holiday card. Endless possibilities! I will also be putting the walking cat inside and will color that one like our orange cat, Charlie.

Mo's Project of the Month! (And Blog Hop!)

It's a Blog Hop for Angel's Landing!
This is it! Judi of Angel's Landing asked me to participate in her new release blog hop! If you're reading this, they are available at Angel's Landing RIGHT NOW! Judi has designed some awesome penguins with and without winter attire and some gorgeous birds and birdhouses! If you've started the blog hop here, please go to the link above to start at the beginning. There are 14 participating and some giveaways, too! I couldn't resist the baby penguins! I used copics to color him. (Colors listed below) I believe that baby Emperor penguins are a grayish brown fuzz so that's why my penguin is gray. Gosh, he's cute!
My dp is Basic Grey, Eskimo Kisses and MME Stomp from the Abbey Road collection. I used retired SU Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss card stock. My snowflakes are punched from white and then "dusted" with Adirondack stream ink ( with my stencil brush). Then covered in Matte Accents for glue and dipped in Glitter Glass. (These are the snowflakes that Anna Wight created last year! Waving "Hi" to Anna!) the layout is a Mojo Monday sketch. Thanks, Julee!
If you've been around "the hop" then click head to Angel's Landing to see the whole release!

B is for......
I'm so glad you stopped in today! Cottage Creations is one year old!! It was a big step for me to do this and it is thanks to Diana Crick that I made the leap! She asked me to design for her with Magnolia images that she was just beginning to sell in the states and Canada! See below for blog candy info!
I love these images so much that I wanted the opportunity to show more stampers how beautiful they are. If I've inspired you in this past year I'm so grateful and you've inspired me ten times as much with your wonderful support and comments! I thank you!!
Enough gushing! I rushed to finish this card this morning and am happy with it. It has an old fashioned appeal with the light blue and cream. Actually Tilda's dress was a "clean, light blue" and not a good match so I took E42 and dirtied it up a bit!
I used confetti cream card stock from SU for the base. The dp is from a K& Co pad called Bailey.
The rest is pretty self explanatory, I hope and the copics I used are as follows:
E0000, E01, E93 skin; Y21, E17 and E25 hair; B41, B21, B0000 and E42
I'm pulling my blog candy together. It will certainly include a Basic Grey pad, a couple of Magnolia images, and a card that I would love to make for you! And probably more...
Just leave a comment here for this card and details will follow as soon as I can get my act together. Say anything you like in your comment (keep it clean! :) or tell me what is keeping you busy these days-work, deadlines, kids, whatever!
This is Jam Tilda,
Available now at
With deep appreciation, I must get ready for work!Have a great Tuesday!
Huge stampin' hugs,
Cheryl

YOU Rock!
I used Totally Stampalicious', Rockin' Frawg to make this bright card! There is always a Monday challenge which you can find HERE at the blog!
Today's is to make a shape card-different from the normal A2 size. Now I didn't know what the challenge would be when I made my card, but I can't enter anyway-YOU CAN!
My Frog is simply colored in R81 and R83 and her guitar is colored in E17 and E25 with a little YR24 for blending.
I've added a little Spica gold pen for the guitar strings. The sentiment in the set is in one line, but I used my SU black marker to make it into 3 lines to fit my punch.
Thanks for stopping by! Lots coming up this week! There will be a CCC challenge, a Mo's DT event and I get to make a surprise appearance (Wed.) for a new release from another company.
having the day off is great! I better get to my stamping!
Hope you have a great day! Happy Thanksgiving to all Canadians! Happy Columbus Day to fellow Americans!

FS170 Just for fun!
I didn't get far into her gallery (her MOST recent card!) before being grabbed by this one:
Halloween, but not Halloween.
Well, mine is definitely Halloween! I used a base of Kraft embossed with a new Cuttlebug folder-Victoria. (Why can't cuttle bug make Emb folders larger like the Sizzix ones!?)
The other brown is Soft Suede and then I pulled out some old Vintage Violet and even used embossing powder! The tree and owl are also stamped and embossed in a "coffee" embossing powder (I was too lazy to look for the black!)
I punched a 1 1/4 inch circle from a sticky note and used it to mask where I wanted the moon. I sponged Vintage violet, eggplant and pumpkin pie. when I removed the mask I sponged summer sun and pumpkin pie to give color to the moon. It's a little more orange IRL.
The spellbinder fancy tags are terrific and I cut that from Apricot appeal. Done!
No copics! a real shocker, I know!
Thanks for coming by to look! My blogoversary is really looming now! I will be doing a giveaway, but I do have some things coming in the mail to add to it!
Have a great Sunday! More stamping this afternoon! Yeah!!

Magnolia-lcious Challenge!
Perhaps you saw the ones that Claudia (my stampin' hero!) made using the Easter window and this same paper? They are wonderful cards and I fully admit to stealing her idea! I put the window with Tilda with Kitten (available at Magnolia-licious) and also used the bat, both pumpkins and the spider!
So I've also channeled the wonderful Sharon Caudle and Jacque Beddingfield and made a scene card!
I think this little Tilda looks like a witch in training!
It is gloomy here, but I persisted in taking outdoor pictures so I've posted many hoping for a decent one!
The FABULOUS cards from the other designers can be seen by clicking on the Magnolia Highlites blog link to the right! Please take a look! They are AMAZING!!
Hope you have a wonderful Saturday and thanks for stopping by!

Mo's Perple Challenge!
Of course, then I end up taking photos in a rush in the morning with no time to fuss with the lighting. The close up came out better and it's all about this adorable image!

In Love with my die cuts Tilda!
I'm afraid I didn't keep a color list and that I haven't been doing very well about it lately. I've had a request from Gwen for colors on a recent card so I'm vowing (again!) to do better at that. I promise to get back to you Gwen-I'll look for the color list tonight!

Joyful!!
Her artistry is fabulous and if you haven't heard of her, you're in for a coloring treat! I bought this image awhile back and when SCS posted a color challenge for Suede, pink and white I KNEW this was the image I wanted to try it with. I was determined to put them all in brown and yet not all blend as one, three headed nun! I love how it came out and it will be difficult to give away, but I have the perfect friend to receive it!
This is one of the cards I used to apply for Mo's Design (Dream) Team and I'm so happy that I was one of the chosen. Great things are coming! One thing I need to do is become more active in Paper Craft Planet again!

Happy Froggin' Friday!
I made this card for a fella with a birthday coming it up and to let you know about the Totally Stampalicious challenge for the week-to make a guy card! I kept mine simple, 'cuz that's how guys are! (JK!!)
Details are at the Totally Stampalicious blog!
This guy is from the Rockin' Frawg set that is available here at Totally Stampalicious.
He was so much fun to color! I had to start with him being the traditional greens, but I already have him (her?) colored up in pinks for another card! There are lots of other stamps in the set, too!
Here are the colors I used:
YG91, 93, 95 and 97 (these are must have greens!)
YR24 and E25 for the guitar, and I just grabbed a coral color for mouth and cheeks and am not sure which one!
He colored up very quickly!
I don't have a star punch so I used my SU 5 petal flower to simulate the star! A little clever, I thought!
I'm so happy to say that Mo has accepted me to join the Digital Pencil Too design team! Whooo Hooo am I every happy about that! She has put together TWO great teams. I'll get links connected this weekend, but I just wanted to tell my good news in case you hadn't seen it. I'll have a card tomorrow made with one of her digital images.
Thanks so much for visiting! My number of followers keeps growing and I can't express how appreciative I am to YOU!! I'm getting some blogoversary candy together because that's in less than two weeks!
Have a great FRIDAY!! (Just the word makes me happy, happy, happy!)
Hugs, Cheryl

CCC-Pumpkins!
This challenge is being sponsored by Christine at All That Scraps! Thank you! I got the digital download for the pumpkin (only $2.25!). Then I just kept copying and pasting it onto my Word document until I filled the page. I changed the sizes of the TWO pumpkins in the download so I got all different pumpkins when I printed it out on my Neenah Classic cardstock! Neat, huh?
I always start with a more yellow shade to color pumpkins, rather than orange. Then I layer oranges in the shadowed areas until I get the color I want. I use my light markers (from he last release of new colors) to blend with. They're the ones with 0000 after the letters.
