Magnolia-licious Two Tulips!

Hi friends! Thanks for all the very nice comments on my Clean and Simple card yesterday-here is another! Yep, this is a Magnolia stamp from Magnolia-licious and aren't the tulips pretty? They are #453 and you can see them at Magnolia-licious I can see this card done in red, in orange, in yellow, in peach, in purple, lavender and even in a lime green! What a a great card set it would make! And I'm telling you these tulips colored up QUICK!! I did draw in the grass with my markers and then a few lines of black so the grass looked like part of the stamped image. The sentiment is from a Papertrey Ink set. The stripes in the background are from Vintage Stripes and the leaf image on the top is another set from PTI. I stamped them in Versamark ink on the Hawaiian Shores card stock. For the text scallops I used the large scallop die (PTI) and an old book from college! I KNEW I would need them again someday!! (College was about 35 years ago!!) The book pages had aged nicely in the attic, but I did use some distress tea dye ink on the edges anyway! Dawn McVey gets credit for the book page scallops.
An idea from Nicole Heady herself is the strip of Scor-tape which is then covered with a very find iridescent glitter.

Copics used were a few of the same Blue Greens and and Greens from the card yesterday.

I hope you have something to CELEBRATE today!
Hugs, Cheryl

Great idea with the textbook pages. I've saved some of mine too, so they should be aged enough by now. Love the colors and always your coloring, looks so elegant. Love the layout too! Beautiful card Cheryl!

The simplicity of the card is stunning but on closer observation all sorts of wonderful things are happening. I love all the elements especially of course the glitter strip using Scor-Tape . Absolutely gorgeous Cheryl.

Where do I start? Ummm, Cheryl, your CAS card is very pretty...love how you drew in your own grass and added the black lines to be part of the stamp image! Clever! That scalloped edges look great and all that background stamping is very nice. No need for DPs here! Gotta take out that Versamark ink pad again! Thanks for all the inspiration. Hugs, Cami

Hi Cheryl, great card! Your right I could see that card in all the colors you recommended too. Especially, peach, but I guess I am partial to peach tulips, I had them in my wedding, 20 years ago. They are beautiful. Blessings to you, Rea

LOL Cheryl - I have been using one of my old English Lit books for a couple of months to make flowers, scallops, etc. It had just been gathering dust on my bookshelf. Why in the world did I keep some of my college books - was I going to reread them or something - NOT!!! I cased Dawn's card with the scallops, now I will case your card using the Vintage Stripes, AND I have the Two Tulips stamp, too - looks like I'll be making cards tonight!
