Good morning! It's another sunny day here!
This is the first Tilda I've colored with darker colored skin and I love her! She is so pretty in her spring pink outfit!
When I started the plan was for a pink and white card, but somehow I could not get away from this happy dotted My Mind's Eye paper. So I added some aqua to go with all the pink.
I made this card for the Featured stamper on SCS today-Twinshappy.
I suppose you're wondering about her skin color. I put a post up on the Magnolia-licious Yahoo group and got several answers from wonderful stampin' friends. Here are the links they sent to me.
My stamp is a Tilda from the Pink Collection last October and it came from Diana's Magnolia-licious store.
I used Dierdre's colors for the most part. I colored the cheeks first with RV34 (don't have E32 YET!) Then I colored the skin with E33. I shaded a bit on the edges with E35. I then tried to blend a little with E33. I found that I couldn't blend with the blender because it removes color and I couldn't keep her skin smooth and even. One of these cuties is in the scrap pile. Maybe you'll have better luck. In the end I think she came out okay.
Other colors used are:
R20, R81, R83 and RV34. Her hair colors are E08 (again, I didn't have Dierdre's color, YET!) I dotted both colors on as she suggests and then I used E33 to mix them a bit.
My background oval is cut from an oval nestability. I leave it in the die and use a 1" stencil brush to swirl on color from my PTI Aqua Mist pad.
Thanks for visiting my little creative corner of the web!
