Just Us Girls #283 Word Week!

Hello and happy weekend!! As I write this the sun is finally shining and it has even reached 20 degrees! Can spring be far away??  Ina has a great word for us at Just Us Girls this week-It's MASCULINE!!  Such a great choice as so many of us (me included) struggle with cards for our men! So, I expect to get lots of inspiration for future cards from our players this week!
Here's my sample:
I went to browns and greens for my Guy Card!  My card base is kraft, then a layer of Almost Artichoke and then some MME dp in the chosen colors with a bit of contrast with the aqua.  Finally a tree from SUs Lovely As a Tree-an all around great, great set for manly cards!  Mine is stamped with Memento dark brown in on Vintage Cream cardstock.  I then used a paintbrush and reinker in old olive and close to cocoa to add a bit more color to my tree and grass.
Cutting with My Favorite Things pierced squares gives the pieces a real finished look used along with some sponged on antique linen distress ink.  The banner die and sentiment are from PTI.
It bears mentioning again that one of the reasons I love our Just Us Girls challenge is that you can use materials from absolutely ANY company on our challenges!
Thanks for visiting and please conside playing along with the challenge this week. You have until Thurs. Mar. 12 ant 9 pm ET to enter yours with the Linky Tools on our BLOG.

Hard to beat that great SU tree stamp for a male card. Love the extra colour you added. Great background. Great result.
