Just Us Girls #248 It's a TREND!

Hello!  One of the best trends that has come along recently (well, somewhat recently) is wood and wood grain!  I'm the host for Just Us Girls this week and that's what I challenge you with-create something with wood or woodgrain on it.  Please check out loads of inspiration HERE! and then join us this week, won't you!?

I went to some of my favorite things for this challenge (besides the wood!) . I stamped this beautiful Magnolia stamp on xpress it blending card with Memento tuxedo black and then reached for my beloved (but lately unused) copics.  I had a ball coloring her and the sunflowers in pots.
I chose this  beautiful floral paper from October Afternoon (an old collection called Report Card) and set about matching the colors!  My orange wood paper is from My Mind's Eye (On the Bright Side-Two, 6x6 pad). I cut the peaks in the fence by hand and then cut new (SU) Honey paper to put behind it. The border punch below is from a Martha Stewart punch.  I also punched grass from Pistachio Pudding and sponged that with a little Crumb Cake. The three little bees are part of the Tilda Scarecrow (mini stamp is still available), so, of course I had to use those! I wish you could see that I used stickles on their wings and also used brown stickles on the sunflower centers.  The sentiment is from AMuse Artstamps.  Tilda and the sunflowers are raised on dimensionals as is the sentiment banner.

I was so privileged to be part of Diana Crick's design team for such a long time, so I have many Magnolia stamps and even a few duplicates!! I would love to send some to a good home!  Please leave a comment below before our challenge closes on Thursday, July 18 and I'll choose a winner using random.org. Entering the challenge will get you another chance to win!!
Will try to get a picture posted this weekend once I pull the 'goodie package together!  Join us and GOOD LUCK!!
