Hello!! Are you a camper? When I was a kid that's the only kind of vacation we had. Six children meant there wasn't a lot of extra money laying around! Camping was cheap then, but it sure was a lot of work for my mom! She cooked all of our meals, same as at home. Maybe that's why this image just cracks me up! Here are a couple of our pics from Maine! Below is our trip out to Wood Island to see the renovations that have so far been completed on Wood Island Light. It's just off the coast at Biddeford Pool. The volunteer group working to preserve and restore this beautiful American lighthouse (commissioned by Thomas Jefferson in 1809) is called FOWIL (Friends of Wood Island Light).
And, here is the sunrise on the day we had to leave! Gorgeous!
