Sweet Lili for Lisa!

Hello!  I did so badly at getting Christmas cards out that I'm starting early on my valentines!!  This is one I made for my friend, Lisa Kind over at Kind Creations! We met for a little crafting retail therapy and snacks yesterday!  Check out her link!  She is one of those consistently great creators and so nice, too!  She has a challenge on her blog today to use felt on your creations!  Great idea!
I used High Hopes, Lili Mouse to show off my new (grand) window die!  I'm in love with these dies!!  I keep checking to see how many more images that have can be used int he window!  Lili has an oak leaf in her hand making her a bit 'fallish' in appearance.  I chose to cover the leaf with some fern punches and tiny hearts for flowers (ala Kittie747).  I used a Cheery Lynn tree die outside the snowy window and an MS heart punch to make a lacy curtain!  I told Lisa I still think it looks a bit plain on top and maybe I should have punched an SU oval for a sentiment!
I am lovin' the pinks lately and in this case used RV04, RV17 and RV19 for her bow and dress.  I also used a little RV10 for blending and in her ears/nose.  Her fur is E31, E34. E55 and a touch of E57.  I just realized I should have used a little white pen on her eye dots and some black glossy for her eyes! Oh, well!  I did remember to give her bow some sparkle with Star dust stickles.
The window is cut from Sahara Sand and sponged with same.  The card base is Kraft, stamped with a Hero Arts background in Soft Suede.  The dp is from a Bo Bunny pad and the pink is PTIs raspberry Fizz.
I think that covers the whole card.  Lili is rounded and raised for a 3D look!
Thank you for coming by today!
I wish you health, happiness and prosperity in 2012!!

Quilted Snowman

Hello friends!!  It's been awhile since I've completed a card!! I don't know where the days are going!  I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday! I'm working on Thank you notes at the moment so I have one to show you today!
I used a retired set from Stampin' Up! called Festive Four.  The sentiment is from a more recent word set.  The stitched background is from Papertrey ink and is called Stitches and Swirls.

I used a kraft card base and layers of Purely Pomegranate (wish SU would bring it back!!) and PTI's Hawaiin shores which is acturally a deeper turquoise than my photos show.  I built my feature piece and then "quilted" it with the SU folder.
The snowmen are colored with copics-BG10, BG11 and BG72 for the sky.  T5, T3 and T1 and ) for his hat.  Pinks are RV04, RV17 and RV1perfect for PUrely Pomegranate!

Wishing you a fabulous day!

Merry ChristMOOSE!

Hi!  Well, it's sure getting down to the wire now, isn't it?  I have been working on some gift packaging!  Um, even though our Christmas cards aren't done!  Hope you are doing better than me at finishing things up!!
I made this box using the directions in the most recent Magnolia magazine.  It's a wonderful little box from the Grand Labels four.  My Scor-pal is a must to make this kind of box quick and easy (and Scor-tape, of course!!)!!  A perfect size to decorate and fill!  This time I used a moose from Whipper Snapper designs.  He's actually standing in flowers, but I cut those off when I cut him out. I knew I wanted him standing in some soft ground pine!
There's a ribbon handle attached to the sides. I thought the filler was more red when I put it in, but it looks more pink now. Oops!  The moose is colored with copics.  I know I started with Y21, there is also quite a bit of E97, a terrific reddish brown.  The rest I cannot remember, I'm so sorry!
Well, I have some other coloring to get done before work today!
Have a great, great day!!!

TILDA WAITS FOR SANTA

And she's waiting on the windowsill!! I have a new die!! I love this Memory box die which is also available at www.poppystamps.com.  This is the small window die.  The large window die is on its way to me and may come in today's mail.  I can hardly contain myself!!
My card was inspired by the adorable mini images from Magnolia-licious, but also by the MOST talented Kittie747!! She makes such wonderful creations with her punches and, recently has been using the large window die (be srue to scroll down her blog)!!  She totally enables me by everything she shows on her blog!  (Linked above).  My mini is #3058 mini SWEET CHRISTMAS TILDA.  I have linked the full sized image here because it looks like the mini is not available right now.  Be sure to check with Diana though, she is sure to restock if you ask her!  She's GREAT that way! She also has many dies in stock and a frequent shopper program!! Too good to be true these days!
Here's a close up of our girl!
I hope you get a bit of an idea of the dimension on this relavtively simple card.  I wanted Tilda and the window to really be featured! The stamp behind is a litttle pine tree scene (also from Magnolia!!). I trimmed it to fit the back of the window and then raised the window on dimensionals.  It would make a great shaker card, which I hope to try soon!
I just realized maybe I should put some snow in the corner of my window panes!  I think I'll add that later today!
I hope you've enjoyed today's post! I am IN LOVE with this card!  It will be a little hard to send it off, but the beauty of stamping is that I can make another!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!!

Sweet Tilda Ornaments

Hello!  Are you overwhelmed yet? I am, but just a bit.  Shopping is pretty much done for me.  How about you?  I have a couple of ornaments to show you today!  I hope you like them!  They are for a dear person in my life, but I've never met her in person!

I used an Ellison die cut at school for my snowflake ornament base.  I cut out medium coasters and then some of this great teal sparkle paper from Michael's.  I used PTI shimmer paper for the intricate snowflake (Spellbinders).  then I went to coloring up some mini Tildas.
This one is #354 Mini JINGLE TILDA.   She is available at Magnolia-licious.  Check out the VERY speciall pricing when you buy two images which Diana has selected!  Also, while you're there, take a look at all the dies Diana is carrying now.  all are at a discount AND she has a frequent shopper program to benefit her customers!!
This one is #3082 Mini TILDA WITH CROSS STITCH HEART.  She is another of my favorites from the collection, SWEET CHRISTMAS DREAMS.

I don't know how well you can see it, but I used two of Martha Stewart punches to make the greenery in a dark and lighter green.  Kittie747 is one of my stampin' heroes and she has done some wonderful things with her greenery this year!  Such an inspiration because she also posts picture tutorials for how to make the items!  I am working on another to post VERY soon that I love even more!

Well, I must get ready for work!! Have a great day today!!

It's in the Bag Tilda!

Hi!  I had some stamping time this weekend and made this gift bag for a receipient in my Card Club.  We have our Christmas party this week and we each bring items (all the same) to fill the bags, then we draw numbers to see who take which bag home.  This is my first year with this 'lots of fun' group! I can't wait to see the bags everyone designed!!
And, if you're up for a challenge, we have one going on at Magnolia-licious Highlites!  Use Mini wrapped and Unwrapped Tilda to make a Christmas project to enter.  Diana has special pricing (click to see them all!) on the two stamps!!! A great deal!!
I used #3082 TILDA WITH CROSS STITCH HEART as well as the #448 SANTA BENCH . They are both in stock at the best store for Magnolias and the TILDA is even 20% off right now!  Check it out!!
I have had the urge lately to use pink and white, but I found I just needed to add the brown in there too!  So an all white card with pink is still on my list!  I used R81, 83 and 85 for her sweater, hat and socks.  the browns are many of the E markers in my collection!  I usually start with E42 or 31 and just keep deepening and blending with the lighter marker until I get the look I want.

I used the Spellbinders poinsettia die with PTIs sparkly white card stock.  There's also a layer of it behind Tilda, embossed in snowflakes and then sponged in some blushing bride ink. My greenery is cut from some inexpensive picks I got at Michael's or Hobby Lobby.  They really add more sparkle!
Sorry about all the pics!  With the new blogger I couldn't tell which ones I had used!
This is the whole bag. I used MS pine bough punch for the top and bottom.  Thanks for coming by!! Hope you had a nice weekend and wishing you a good week ahead,
Cheryl

VINTAGE JOY

Good morning!  I have a card with a stamp from I Brake for Stamps! It's called Elegant Joy.  You still have a week (10 days to be exact) if you'd like to join in.  Rules are on the blog I BRAKE FOR CHALLENGES.  You don't have to use an IBFS image, but if you have one (some) we'd love to see them!  We hope you'll join in for IBFCC15!!
I used a kraft card base, my favorite!  Then I added a layer of SU dsp before a black layer made with the new Papertrey Ink die cut.
I must admit that I like this card better in person than I do in the photos I took.  I hope you can see some of the elegant sparkle.  The image colored up quickly with copics in shades of red and yellow with some E on the outside to age the image a bit.
some red crinkled seam binding finished this one off.
Thanks for coming by today!  Wishing YOU a lovely and productive day and weekend!!

Snow Much Fun!

Hi friends!  Thanks to those of you who hang in there with me when I don't get posts (and Cards!) done as often as I'd like!!  I {{heart}} you!
I finally inked up a great Stampin' Up set called Snow Much Fun!  I love snowmen stamps!!  Do you have a lot of them too?  Quick and easy to color!  This card was a case of a Karen Barber (I think!) card on Splitcoast.  Give credit where credit is due!

I used PUrely Pomegranate (a color I think SU should bring back!) for my card base.  Then a layer of black, then my fav new color-Pool Party!  Pool party is stamped with SU snowflakes from past in Snow Cap and then some in
Baja Breeze.  The BB ones have stickles added after.  I also sponged the edges of the PP layer in Soft Suede.  The 'snow' is a layer of torn water color paper.  The snowman is colored in copics and cut out.  I curve my cut outs a bit and then glue them down for some dimension.  I hope you like this simple card of mine which could be for Christmas or for a thank you card after!
Have a great day and weekend.  I'm working on some things to relieve the stress of school so will have a post again soon!  Hang in there with me!
Hugs to you! Cheryl
