Hi
stampin' Friends! I've finished my card for the Magnolia-
licious monthly challenge and looking at it makes me
sooooooo happy! This challenge was given to us by the very talented
Sharon Caudle. Thanks, Sharon, this was lots of fun!

When Sharon posed this challenge I chose my image right away and since I had just organized my Mags and found this wonderful Winter Fence I was ready to start! I chose my
dp last and just colored Edwin in pretty typical "boy" colors. My card base is Kraft-it's my "go to" color when I don't know where I'm going with a card. It matches EVERYTHING!

I cut Edwin out and put him on
dimensionals. I tried masking the image, but Edwin's "snow trail" is part of it and it just didn't look right. I think looks better standing out from the scene anyway. There is liquid
applique and sparkle (
stickles) on the snow.
Both images are IN STOCK Now! The fence is #571 and Edwin is #147. How great is that! Just put the numbers in the search box and you'll see them.
The pine bough is also from Magnolia Sweden, but you can ask Diana to order it :) It is quite small, but I stamped it a few times.
Claudia has written an excellent tutorial for this kind of card. You can find it linked up at the
Magnolia-Highlites Blog where we also hope you'll go to check out the other Fab Mag designers work and send us your own frame card!
(On SCS this type of card is called a Recessed Window and a tutorial can be found in Resources).
I've used copic markers for coloring-no surprise there!
E000, E01 and R20
YG91, YG93 (jacket) YG21, YG93, and YG97 for tree branches.
B21, B41, B45, B97 and a ittle B18
E33, E25 and E29 9fence sled and boots
BG0000, Bg10 for the snow
The sky is Ballet Blue ink (SU) which is brushed on with a dry stencil brush. Then the fence area is filled in with a little of (copic) B41 to match the sky.
Sorry, if I gave more information than you ever wanted about this card!
Have a great day!
Cheryl
