Hello!! Sure glad it's the weekend, aren't you? The Just Us
Team has another great challenge for you this week! It's Maria's turn and look at these beautiful spring tulips that she chose to inspire us! Such pretty colors! And I'm all about color!
I chose this stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs called Pretty Potted Tulips. I stamped it on Xpress it Blending card and colored it with my copics. Then I went hunting through my stash of 12 x 12 papers. I have waaaay too many!! I found the background paper from Penny Lane (are they still making papers?) and matched it to some Papertrey Ink (Royal Purple, I think) and some Bo Bunny double dotted. Using sketch number 186 from the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge I finished up the card. I love all the stitched and pierced dies out there now. Mine are from My Favorite Things.
Thanks so much for coming by today! Hey, if you're in the Buffalo area there is a crafty sale at a church nearby in Amherst on Saturday, April 25 from 9 am-2 pm.
Location: 3915 Millersport Hwy, Amherst NY 14228 - Amherst Alliance Church Gym/Multi-purpose room
Lisa (Kind Creations) and I are selling a few of our loved but less used items at this sale to benefit the church and clear out our studios at the same time. Come on by!

Just Us Girls #289 Color Challenge!
Hello there! I have not had a real creative streak going lately, but I wouldn't miss a Just Us Girls challenge! Lisa has a good one for us this week! See the graphic below and then head to our BLOG for tons of inspiration! You don't want to miss that!
I stamped the tulips on watercolor paper in Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. Then I had fun painting with reinkers from SU. I used Certainly celery and kiwi kiss on the leaves. the tulips are apricot appeal (a color that should NOT have been retired!) and pumpkin pie. Lisa will have to forgive me for the green as an added color-flowers NEEd green leaves!
I gave my flowers and leaves a touch of Stardust Stickles (another thing Lisa loves) and tied the peach crinkly seam binding around. My layers are cut with an MFT blueprints kit (I forget the number) and Cross Stitched Frame Borders (Memory Box). There is sponging on the edges of the layers. Pretty simple card really.
I hope Lisa likes it 'cause her birthday is Sunday!!
Thanks for coming by! Please join us this week in this great color challenge! You have so much freedom to use a color you love with neutrals! Link your creation up by Thursday, April 23 at 9 pm ET!

I'm not sure I followed directions perfectly, but it worked out!My 'cat lady' friend who had a birthday on April 10 is going to love this!! I can't wait to give it to her!
And, it's like a surprise inside when you see the back of the stack of cats! I told you-FUNNY!
Check out the shaker cards from the rest of the DT. You won't be disappointed and we hope you'll be inspired! You have until Thursday, April 16 at 9:00 pm to link up your own shaker ! And, you could win a spot as out GDT member for June too!

Just Us Girls #287 Word Week!
Hello! It's Saturday and time for another challenge at Just Us Girls! Sharon has a very timely word for all of us this week! It's SPRING!! How easy is that! I have so many stamps I haven't used and this is one of them! I love these cute spring babies from Whipper Snapper Designs.
I stamped them in Stazon on watercolor paper and painted them up with reinkers. I {{heart}} how they came out! In case you're interested the bunny is painted in Sahara Sand, the chick in Barely Banana and Pumpkin Pie and the Lamby in Going Grey and Sahara Sand. I used Blushing Bride for cheeks, noses and ears. The background is Pool Party. The background is also covered in Stardust stickles. Noses and beak are coated in Glossy Accents for some shine.
And, here's a close up of these cuties!
One more pic of my card. DP is Papertrey Ink-Winter Wisteria.
And, THIS card, this MASTERPIECE, is the card we received specially drawn by our first grade great- nephew, Kalen. He's showing some definite talent, I'd say, but I am a bit partial to him! Look at the detail! The eggs clearly match and the chick has nostril holes!
Okay, I've shown you mine and Kalen's creation, so please join in and show us what SPRING means to you! You have until Thursday, April 9 at 9 pm (ET) to enter. You have a chance to be our June GDT member! Oh, and look for MORE inspiration here on our BLOG
