I used the Trees Background from I Brake for Stamps for this easy card! I stamped it in black on white Neenah card stock. I could have then embossed it for a more striking background but I was using my new Memento pad so I thought it was dark enough. then I punched a 1" circle from a sticky note and placed it where I wanted the moon. Then I started sponging from the edges of the card. I first used baja breeze and then bayou blue for a deeper blue.
The image is mounted on black and then on Peach parfait from SU. The sentiment is from an old SU Halloween set, punched with the ticket punch and then mounted on a black oval for contrast.
The I sprayed it with a clear shimmer mist. Done!
I think without too much trouble this could look like trees in winter. I hope to try that soon.
I had a couple of questions to answer.
For the pumpkin in the post below I used the same colors I've been using for pumpkins this year.
They are: Y19, Y17, YR16, YR18 and E0.
I get the silicone gel I sometimes use to raise images in the middle (and adhere the edges to the paper) for a rounded look at my Local Stamp Store. It is how one of the designers there raises her images and she's terrific!
It's made by Decorator's Solution and is sold as clear dimensional silicone to add texture to glass projects. (www.decoratorssolution.com)
Okay, I'm off to get some projects done for the week!
Tomorrow is a new Magnolia-licious project of the month and a new Copic Creations Challenge will be posted on the CCC blog.
Have a great day! No tricks, only treats!
