Here's another Poppy card I finished on Sunday night. I love this layout for a square card! This one happens to be 4.5" square so I could show some of the beautiful October Afternoon paper. I think one is from Thrift shop and the other from Fly a Kite. Mix and match!I tried something I saw at my LSS-I colored and extra 'face' and 'flower' and glued them right on top of the base image. It just gives a subtle dimension to the card. I like it. The flower is a new one from Prima-peach and orange colors. Yum!
This was the "not so good" part of our weekend. I guess I have bragged too much about our beautiful weather! We got some rain, but LOTS of wind. Saturday afternoon Dave looked our the kitchen window and said, " Our apple tree is down!" We went out and were surprised to see that it had just tipped over! Soooo sad!
Here's Dave surveying the work ahead of him to get it cut up! It will remove some of our backyard shade and a haven for many of our birds including the Baltimore Orioles who have just returned to eat grape jelly from our feeder. We'll miss this old friend.
